Position Title: Experienced Designer

Location: Metro Denver, Colorado

Candidates for this position must have at least 5 years of experience in design of high voltage substations, in both physical and controls/relaying disciplines: substation plan and section drawings, bills of materials, grounding and conduit drawings, control schematics and wiring diagrams.  Experience in both physical and controls/relaying design is beneficial; experience in controls/relaying design is most important.  Proficiency with both AutoCAD and Microstation is required.

Candidates must be able to work effectively with our clients, project managers, electrical and civil/structural engineers, other designers, and project support personnel.

Position Title: Electrical Engineer, High Voltage Substations

Location: Metro Denver, Colorado; will consider other locations

Work Hours: full time or part time

Move from corporate structure to Flexible Home Office/Company Office environment!  Candidate for this position must be a high performing and low maintenance Electrical Engineer.

If you are interested in showcasing your engineering and consulting skills, you can expect to:

  • Use and hone your technical expertise in design of electric power systems up to 345kV
  • Exercise good judgment in applying standard engineering techniques and procedures to high voltage substation assignments
  • Work with a great team of professionals and technicians
  • Develop your skills in other practice areas
  • Use the company's modern infrastructure to combine working in your home office (fully equipped by the company) with traditional project interaction at the main office

You need to have:

  • A BSEE
  • P.E. license, or the ability to obtain one within one year
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in physical design and/or in design of control and relaying systems in high voltage substations
  • A strong sense of self-discipline and motivation
  • A desire to learn
  • Good interaction with clients
